Chicago Staffing Alliance is reorienting the nation’s urban and energy infrastructure around platforms of efficiency, sustainability and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. This represents perhaps the greatest engine for innovation, job creation, and economic productivity growth in coming decades. Therefore, the economic reality of our need to “go green” represents a tremendous opportunity for workers who possess skills related to sustainability, energy efficiency and “green” building technologies.
To take advantage of this opportunity, the Chicago Staffing Alliance has created a training program targeted at disadvantaged young people who are recent graduates of Chicago area high schools, who have completed architecture or construction courses and who have an interest in pursuing a career in architecture or construction with a focus on “green” building technologies. Classes include interactive classroom experiences combined with “hands-on” training and job placement services upon completion. Upcoming training dates include April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and May 4, 5, 6.
Class scheduling is flexible, with additional training dates available upon request. Please contact Melissa Gordon for additional details, mgordon@chicagostaffingalliance.com.
