The focus of the Community Solar and Wind Grant Program is to support the development and implementation of distributed community-scale solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, and wind energy technologies in Illinois.

The Department is soliciting applications through a competitive Request-for-Application process. Program closed FY12

Eligible applicants include businesses, public sector and non-profit entities who are customers of an electric or gas utility that impose the Renewable Energy Resources and Coal Technology Development Assistance Charge.
