You can either select up to 10 county areas (or Illinois) or one economic region (indicated by the red asterisk next to the selection lists) and then optionally select Race Category, Age group, or gender for your search. If a selection is made from these lists, then only those items will be returned. If no selection is made, all items will be returned. So if you select All from Age groups, only the total of all age groups will be returned. If no age groups are selected, then a row for each of the different age groups will be returned.
All lists allow multiple selections (by holding down the Ctrl key and left clicking multiple entries). There are 2 possible formats for search results:

• Web Page - in a new web page, or
• CSV File - as a comma separated file (CSV).

After selecting the filters and output type, click on the Submit Request button to submit your request.

• If you requested an output type of Web Page, a new browser window will open to display your results.
• If you requested an output type of CSV file, then a File Download dialog box will appear prompting you to open or save the export file. Click on Save. You will be presented with a Save As dialog box. You may accept the default file name or change accordingly. Note that for Save as type select All Files or an extenstion of txt may be appended to the file name. Now accept the default folder on your computer or navigate to the desired location, and then click on the Save button.

Click on the Reset Form button to clear your selections and start over.

Popup blockers:
Both the search results and a request to export the results will result in a new window (or popup) being shown. If your browser blocks popups, these windows will not appear. Either turn off the popup blocker before starting a search or use an override key (if one is available) to temporarily allow the popup. For example holding down the Ctrl key while pressing the Submit button will often allow a popup window to appear.
